What is the TMC management console
The TMC console is an administrative UI that helps users to manage resources and permissions of other users and resolve issues when arise. It also provides more general information regarding the operational health of the services and usage information.
Project description
TMC services are very complex and most of the time, the user requires intense support from Autonomic teams to use API endpoints as designed. The console is built as a self-serve app to lower the barrier to entry to TMC services and helps the user be more productive with the platform faster.
Challenges and solutions
1. With the lack of resources and time, I often have to iterate the designs in order to be achievable within time and technical constraints, while still providing value to the users.
2. Involve multiple product teams, I have to communicate intensively with teams and come up with a design that helps users.
3. Inaccessible real data, because of security reasons, our teams don’t have access to the real data. So my team made mock data to validate the designed APIs and UI.
